Former Virginia Police Chief David P. Baker has released a public service announcement to deter others from making the mistake of drinking and driving.
Baker was arrested while driving an unmarked car owned by the city. He was in Arlington County at the time and involved in a minor fender bender. His otherwise notable career was cut short in that one mistake, and now he is urging others to think twice before making the same mistake themselves.
He resigned from the position of police chief. Now, Baker spends his time discussing the issue with other officers and even inmates in an attempt to make good out of his bad situation. The brief PSA, issued by Checkpoint Strikeforce, appears on YouTube. Baker is hoping to reach a wide audience with the video, entitled, "Even a Police Officer."
The video describes his embarrassment as he fell from grace.
