J. Christian Sowash graduated from Columbia College in Columbia Missouri. From there he traveled to Southern Illinois University and earned his law degree in 2007. After passing the Missouri Bar Exam he was hired by the public defender system and practiced there for 5 years. Additionally, he has served in the armed forces of the United States for 26 years and is still an active member of the Illinois Army National Guard.
