In Arizona DUI Cases, you have the right to a trial by jury

Arizona DUI Jury Trial Right

There are many reasons why it is usually better to have a jury rather than a bench (or judge) trial in Arizona DUI cases. Besides it being a fundamental right, a jury may be better able to look at the facts from a fresh perspective (Judges see many DUI cases every day).

On the other hand, if there is a scientific or technical issue only, it is sometimes in your best interest to waive your right to a jury trial and let a Judge decide your guilt or innocence in your DUI case. You should only waive your right to a jury trial upon the advice of experienced DUI defense counsel after a complete investigation, which includes interviewing all of the witnesses and researching all potential legal issues.
