DUI charges have plagued the career and reputation of Jeffrey Hunker, who received his fourth DUI arrest this Thanksgiving in the Pittsburgh area where he used to teach.
Hunker used to be a renown professor, but after a host of criminal complaints, many question why he cannot straighten out his apparent drinking problem. Hunker was arrested last Thursday when he struck another car in the Shadyside area of town. Officers arrived to find Hunker exhibiting signs of intoxication.

The cause of Hunker's notoriety stems from his record of 3 arrests in just 8 days in 2008. His Wikipedia page points out his long list of achievements, including a Harvard PhD, advising the department of commerce and serving on the National Security Council. The page also very notably points out "drunken driving incidents."
This is actually Hunker's fifth arrest, but he had one DUI expunged under a first-time offenders program in Pennsylvania. Neighbors and supporters of Hunker expressed their shock and concern he would make the same mistake again.
A fourth DUI arrest in Pennsylvania presents serious charges for Hunker, who will likely be held in jail for an extended period if he is convicted. Details regarding his BAC were not immediately released to the press.
