After an Orange County DUI arrest, you need to do two things:

1. Make sure that you contact the DMV Driver Safety Office in Irvine to demand an administrative hearing to appeal the immediate suspension by the arresting officer of your driver's license. IMORTANT: This must be done within 10 calendar days of the arrest/suspension -- or you will lose all right to appeal.

2. Find an experienced and qualified DUI attorney who practices in Orange County -- one who is a specialist handling drunk driving cases exclusively, with a support staff. You should confer with at least three different law firms before making your decision, and all details concerning costs and services should be clear. Be prepared to pay for what you get. (Note: If you retain an attorney within the 10-day period mentioned above, the attorney will contact the DMV for a hearing.)
