I earlier asked how to get a DUI expunged, but perhaps I should ask it this way too... is there a way to get a North Carolina DUI completely off of your driving AND criminal record so that there is no trace of it there whatsoever?

I want to be able to honestly say that my record is completely clean on job applications and not have to worry about anything that may be dangling around out there in some DMV database or court file coming back to bite me.

When I say "off record" I mean is there a way to literally disappear it permanently?
