Can a Minnesota prosecutor decide to charge you later if officer gives DWI warning?
So if you are arrested for DWI and given the tests and so fourth, and the the police officer tells you that you are lucky and releases you, can you still be charged with DWI. What if the police officer didn't think it was worth it? Can the prosecutor overrule the cop and charge you anyways?
If they can, how long do they have to hit you with the news?
