Suspensions Don't Automatically Reinstate in Arizona DUI Cases:
Many people are driving around in Arizona with suspended licenses, not knowing that they are still suspended from a DUI that happened many years ago. This is because, although you receive a piece of paper from the MVD that says "date action ends," the suspension doesn't officially end until you go to an MVD office and reinstate it (in some cases, you may be able to reinstate online or over the phone).
Although you might not be aware of the fact that your license is still suspended, if you are pulled over for a DUI during the suspension (or before you reinstate) it will expose you to potential felony (aggravated) DUI charges in Arizona.
